Minjo are electric verisons of a regular Jinjo and in Banjo-Tooie they were first introduced as enemies. When the player gets near one, it starts running toward and start saying "grrr". These enemies are usually found in open areas while Jinjos are on hard-to reach areas, implying a hint which is a Jinjo and which is a Minjo.
Minjos reappear in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. One appears when a Jinjo is gotten from prison, a Minjo must be exchanged in position back into prison in Showdown Town. Pikelet gives Banjo and Kazooie some Musical Notes when doing so. They are also remodeled with a demonic smile and red eyes along with all being dark purple with prison clothing and handcuffs on them.
