Krosshair

Possible artwork of Krosshair.

Krosshairs are unseen enemies in the Donkey Kong series. A piece of artwork of a flying robot enemy in Donkey Kong Country 3 that doesn't show up in the game could, in fact, be a Krosshair.

Games[]

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble![]

Krosshair appears only in one level, Krack Shot Kroc in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.

In the game, he tries to shoot Dixie and Kiddy, transformed into Squitter, throughout the level. Krosshair follows Squitter, and after a few seconds, he shoots a fireball. He cannot be defeated, however, he can be tricked into shooting a enemy or nothing. Near the level there's a No Krosshair Sign. Being past the sign allows Krosshair to not follow Dixie and Kiddy. If they pass on the left away from it, then Krosshair attempts to attack the two.

Donkey Kong 64[]

Krosshair reappears in Donkey Kong 64, appearing first in the temple with five doors in Angry Aztec.

Whenever a Kong gets a banana, Krosshair aims at the player and yells "GET OUT", making the Kong have to get out of the temple quickly before the time runs out along with Krosshair taking away four melons by attacking a Kong. He reappears in Crystal Caves and Creepy Castle, in cabins, igloos or etc. If a Kong, fails a timed mission, or gets caught by a searchlight, in Chunky's case, Krosshair appears and can defeat a Kong instantly.
