Kackle is an frightening foe encountered in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. They only appear in the level Haunted Hall, where they try to attack Diddy and Dixie. There is a timer when entering an area with a Kackle. By using the Plus and Minus Barrels throughout the level, they can increase or decrease the timer. When the timer reaches zero, a Kackle will take a Kong, and then the time will be reset. In total, there are four Kackles with different colored bandanna; blue, green, yellow, and red, in order, Kackle has been also confirmed to be Mr. X an unused villain set to appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. but was only seen in the german manual

Trivia

• Kackles do not reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2 because of the graphical and memory limits.
