Gnawty the Beaver is a species of beaver that appears in Banjo-Kazooie in all of the seasons in Click Clock Wood. He appears to have problems by getting into his house and requests Banjo and Kazooie to help him get in by destroying the boulder.

His home is blocked by a large boulder in Spring and Summer. It can only be removed during the summer when the river is dry. He invites Banjo and Kazooie in to reward them. Unfortunately, the lack of water makes it impossible for Banjo to enter, so the Jiggy can only be obtained during the fall when the river has filled once again. He apparently does not prepare for visitors in winter since the river freezes over, and there is only one hole in the ice that is located fairly far from his house. In there, the duo can find an Extra Honeycomb Piece.

Trivia

• Gnawty appears to be based on the enemy with the same name in the Donkey Kong series as both are beavers and both are Gnawties. Gnawty appears to resemble Really Gnawty, a boss in Donkey Kong Country. It is unknown if he is one of the Gnawties from the Donkey Kong series.
