DK Attack is a mode exclusive to the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country. It was succeeded with Diddy's Dash in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

This mode has Donkey and Diddy having to go through a level as quick as possible while gaining points while a timer is running, meaning that they have only limited time to complete the level.
Points can be earned also by Donkey and Diddy defeating enemies, collecting K-O-N-G Letters, bananas, etc. They can also gain extra time if gaining a time bonus. The two pouncing on foes multiplies their score depending on the amount of times pounced.
When the level is won, points are earned depending on the tasks that have been done; five thousand points are added if both monkeys finish the level together and an extra five thousand points if the level is also finished with an Animal Buddy. Others include the Time remaining portion with a thousand points added for every second remaining after the completion.
All of this tallied all up together results in a rank, due to the amount of points with D being the lowest rank and S being the highest.
