Conker's Pocket Tales is a Game Boy Color game released in 1999 that stars Conker as the main character.

This game Conker's first game that stars him as the protagonist. The game, unlike Conker's Bad Fur Day, is of mild nature. Its story, graphics and events are appropriate for children. The title did not gain too much attention from any audiences, though despite its rating this might be due to the fact that Conker's Bad Fur Day contained unacceptable language and ever since people have not bothered to go buy it, due to its inappropriate content.

Since the game was in development along with Twelve Tails: Conker 64 which later became Conker's Bad Fur Day, it could be suppose to be a prequel or sequel to each other. With the sudden change of appearance of its Nintendo 64 pendant, it is now somewhat of an anachronological part of the series.

The plot is about Conker and his girlfriend Berri who are celebrating a birthday. Berri gets kidnapped by the Evil Acorn, along with all the presents. It is up to Conker to save his girlfriend and get back the presents.

  • Berri's appearance in the game is different than her appearance in Conker's Bad Fur Day. While she is a tall, shaped chipmunk with blonde hair and gray fur, she appeared red-furred and brown-haired now, the same size as Conker. That, however, might be ascribed to the limited palette of Game Boy Color games which didn't allow a wide variety of colors.
  • There is a difference if the game is being played on a Game Boy Color or a previous model. For one, the colors are, of course, either limited to four gray-tones or normal. That aside, almost all maps in the games, as well as the intro and some other things are different, too.
