Chomps Jr. are light blue underwater shark-like enemies appearing in the Donkey Kong series.

History

Donkey Kong Country/Land

Chomps Jr. first appear in Donkey Kong Country. They randomly swim around in the water and injures Donkey and Diddy when they come in contact with them. They can only be defeated with Enguarde. They appear in all four underwater levels starting with Coral Capers and ending with Poison Pond.

These enemies reappear in Donkey Kong Land acting the same as they previously did. Due to Enguarde not being in the game, they cannot be defeated. They first appear in Chomp's Coliseum and make their final appearance in Oil Drum Slum.

Donkey Kong Racing

Chomps Jr. were to appear in Donkey Kong Racing until Rare moved to Microsoft. They can be seen in the underwater scene with Tiny and Diddy on Enguardes. It is unknown what purpose they were to serve in this game.
